Teaching

Zander’s approach to teaching leads with healthy playing and a focus on differentiating lesson plans for all students. He believes in finding a balance between catering to the basic fundamentals of the instrument and application of those skills in the context of each students aspirations. Zander brings with him years of teaching both privately, as well as in public schools across New York, Maryland, and Texas. As a Graduate Assistant at Texas Christian University he assisted in facilitating the TCU Trombone Summit, conducted performances with the TCU trombone choir, and performed as a soloist in the school’s Honors Recital. Zander received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Texas Tech University where he was a Drum Major for the Marching Band and active educator years after for their summer band and orchestra camp
